Word stress …

we have different kinds of words ~ :
1 \ simple words …, consists of one syllable . e.g > care
In another meaning ( they are words without any additions ) -
+ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ affixes .

2 \ compound words …, they are words contained two syllables .
e.g. > careless & careful ( stem+suffix ) _
Unhappy ( prefix+stem ).

3 \ complex or composed words .. they are words consists of more than two syllables . e.g.. carelessness .

# has two types > 1- words that consists of stem and affixes .
2- two independent word .
